Welcome to Bear Hollow, a dream turned reality by Emily and Christopher Murphy “Murph”. Married for 12 years, we have always shared a passion for homesteading and creating a welcoming space for others to enjoy. In 2020, while living in Los Angeles, we made the life changing decision to purchase Bear Hollow, a property that captured our hearts and embodied our dreams.

For the past three years, Lahaina, Hawaii has been our sanctuary until tragedy struck and we lost everything in a devastating fire. Now, we are rebuilding our life in the beautiful surroundings of Big Bear, California, where we are determined to create a new chapter filled with hope, resilience, and love.

Our shared love for hiking, camping and sailing has shaped our adventurous spirits. Murph is a Master boat captain with a deep connection to the sea, while Emily’s expertise as an accountant brings balance and stability to our endeavors. Together, with our loyal German Shorthaired Pointer, Mookie, who is more than a pet but a cherished member of our family, we embrace each day with gratitude and a commitment to living our best life.
